Friday, April 22, 2016 7:24 PM
Year 5/6 students have the opportunity to attend an excursion to Yackandandah as part of their study of Gold this term. The dates are Monday 6th June and Tuesday 7th June, with half the students attending each day. Students will be participating in a guided tour of Karrs Reef Gold Mine and will also visit the Yackandandah Museum to explore artefacts from the Gold Rush era. They will also explore the town on a walk. The expected cost for this excursion is $30. There are finite numbers permitted to attend the excursion, 60 students only, due to legalities of the mine. Therefore only the first 60 students to return their permission forms and money will be able to attend. Permission forms will be sent home in coming weeks.  This excursion took place in 2014 and was a wonderful educational experience for all involved and we are sure this year will be no exception.

Year 6 students have the opportunity to have their names printed on the back of their school shirts. Students need to bring a clean, named school shirt to their classroom teacher by Wednesday 23rd March (second last day of Term 1). Their name needs to be written in permanent marker somewhere on the inside of the shirt so they do not get mixed up after printing.  The shirts will be back by the start of term two. The cost is $14 per item printed and multiple items can be printed.
