Year 6 T-shirts

Friday, March 11, 2016 7:04 PM
Year 6 students have the opportunity to have their names printed on the back of their school shirts. Students need to bring a clean, named school shirt to their classroom teacher by Wednesday 23rd March (second last day of Term 1). Their name needs to be written in permanent marker somewhere on the inside of the shirt so they do not get mixed up after printing.  The shirts will be back by the start of term two. The cost is $14 per item printed and multiple items can be printed.

Breakfast Time

Thursday, March 03, 2016 8:12 PM
I am pleased to announce that Melrose Primary School will be commencing a ‘Breakfast Club’ in Term 2 of 2016, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Breakfast Club is open to all Melrose School students and their families.  In 2013 the Australian Bureau of Statistics released findings that 1 in 7 children in Australia arrives at school each day without having had breakfast, missing out on the most important meal of the day. School breakfast programs are successful at improving student nutrition and academic achievement as well as reducing student absenteeism and behaviour problems (Mills 2011).

LAUNCH There will be a Breakfast Club Easter Launch on  Tuesday the 22nd of March at 8.15am-9.00am, in the Art room.

We would like to invite all Families and students of Melrose School to the Breakfast club Launch. Breakfast club is a free service to students and families of Melrose Primary School.  Would also like to thank Food Bank Victoria and the Thorp and Blackley families for their kind donations which have made the Breakfast Club possibly. If there is any further inquiries about the Breakfast Club, or if you are wanting to assisting with the Club, please feel free to contact me.

Kind Regards, Kim Andersen
