Enrolment detail forms have been sent home with students in the first week of school.  It is extremely important that the school has each families most up to date contact details in the case of an emergency.  If you have not received this form, please contact the school office on 60591955 to either update your details over the phone or get another form sent home.

The process for school photos will be a little different this year, with Leading Image coming to the school on Thursday 1st March 2018 at 11.30am, to take photos of this years staff, all 2018 Foundation students, and also students from other year levels who are new to Melrose in 2018.  They will then return later in the year, on Tuesday 4th of September to take the staff group photo, school photos of all students from Year 1-6, as well as any other new students who may enrol throughout the year.

We will be having a “Welcome to Foundation” BBQ on Tuesday the 13th of February at 3:30pm. This is a chance for teachers, families and children to meet more informally and to catch up on the year so far. There will be a short student performance followed by a sausage sizzle for students and their families. This is a great chance to catch up with teachers and leadership staff.

Event: Melrose Primary School Community Meet and Greet Breakfast to be held in conjunction with the Queen's Baton Relay.
Date: Thursday, February 15, 2018
Event time: 8.30am to 9:30am
Location: Melrose Primary School
The Gold Coast is hosting the Commonwealth Games in April, 2018. Wodonga has been selected to be a host city for the Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR). We are very lucky to have the Baton Relay pass by the front of our school. We would like to invite families to accompany students to school, for an informal meet and greet while enjoying breakfast (that will be provided) and to watch the Baton Relay. In order to host this international event, Wodonga Council has been asked to close all roads along the route.
Silva Drive & Melrose Drive will be closed from
9am until 10am on this day.
To ensure our display and the viewing is not blocked by vehicles, car parks at the front of the school in Silva Drive will not be available until after the relay has passed.
With the road being closed during this time, students and their families will be able to safely line both sides of the street and be assured of a great view. During Term Four last year, the whole school contributed to a Commonwealth Games Display which will decorate our front fence line. Please make sure you arrive at school on time (before 9am) on this day to avoid the road closures in place. If you are just dropping off please use Shultz Court. If you intend to participate in the event, an alternate parking area is Higginson Court, which will take you to the oval area at the side of the school. If you have any queries, please contact the office. I look forward to sharing this special event with you.
